Shipping Methods

We provide two reliable shipping options: Roll-on/Roll-off (RORO) and Container Shipping. The choice depends on cost, availability, and destination port compatibility.

1. Roll-on/Roll-off (RORO) Shipping

RORO vessels are designed to transport wheeled cargo such as automobiles, trucks, buses, and heavy machinery. Vehicles are driven on and off the vessel using built-in ramps, eliminating the need for cranes.

Advantages of RORO Shipping:

  • Cost-Effective: Charges are based on the cubic meter (CBM) size of the vehicle.
  • Less Handling Risk: Vehicles remain in operational condition throughout transportation.
  • Faster Loading & Unloading: No need for container packing or unpacking.

Limitations of RORO Shipping:

  • Limited Port Coverage: Not all destination ports have RORO handling facilities.
  • Lower Shipment Frequency: RORO shipments are less frequent due to high demand and limited vessel availability.
  • Availability Issues: Global increase in vehicle exports has made RORO vessel space more competitive.

2. Container Shipping

Container shipping involves securely loading vehicles into standardized intermodal containers, offering enhanced protection and wider port accessibility.

Advantages of Container Shipping:

  • Higher Security: Vehicles are enclosed in sealed containers, protected from weather and external damage.
  • More Port Accessibility: Almost all major international ports support container shipping.
  • Multiple Vehicles in One Shipment: Depending on container size, multiple cars can be shipped together, reducing costs.

Types of Containers Used:

  • 20-Foot Container: Suitable for one standard-sized vehicle.
  • 40-Foot Container: Can accommodate two to four vehicles, depending on their size.

Limitations of Container Shipping:

  • Higher Cost: More expensive than RORO, especially for single-vehicle shipments.
  • Longer Processing Time: Packing, loading, and securing vehicles inside containers take more time.

Which Shipping Method is Best?

The choice between RORO and Container Shipping depends on:

  • Destination Port Availability: If RORO is not available, container shipping is the only option.
  • Cost Preference: RORO is generally more affordable for individual car shipments.
  • Vehicle Safety Concerns: Container shipping provides more security.
